What can I say? I’m just me!
Debbie Black. Based in Northern Ireland, I spend my days in a job I less than love, and my evenings learning and devloping my skills in the art of Photography. Always having had an interest in Art and, well, just about anything that requires some creativity, I started “getting serious” about photography recently.
Shooting with a Canon EOS 450D and a selection of lenses, I aim to see the ordinary in an extraordinary way, to view the norm with “new eyes” and maybe, just maybe, let the world see that too.
Artist Statement
When I work with intent I am reminded that things seldom transpire the way we hope. When I work with an open mind I am reminded that I am provided with endless possibility.
I begin by studying life through the lens, looking around with new eyes. I use a fresh perspective to portray how I see that moment. That one moment that can never be repeated, never look the same.
I hope that through my work, someone, somewhere will be inspired to see what I have seen, feel what I have felt and view the ordinary as extraordinary.
